- 1.5 pounds sirloin steak, sliced into strips
- 3 bell peppers (red, yellow, green), sliced
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup beef broth
- 2 tablespoons honey or brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons cornstarch mixed with 2 teaspoons water
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Place sliced beef in the slow cooker and season with salt and pepper.
- Add sliced bell peppers, onions, and garlic over the beef.
- Mix soy sauce, beef broth, and honey in a bowl, then pour over ingredients in the slow cooker.
- Cover and cook on low for 6 hours, until beef is tender.
- Stir in cornstarch mixture and cook for an additional 15 minutes until sauce thickens.
- Serve hot over rice or noodles, garnished with fresh herbs if desired.
Notes
- Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less honey/brown sugar.
- You can substitute sirloin with flank steak for a different texture.
- Serve with steamed rice or noodles for a complete meal.
