Ingredients
Scale
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Fresh parsley for garnish
- Optional: hot sauce or cayenne pepper for extra spice
Instructions
- Season chicken breasts generously with salt, pepper, and paprika. Dredge each in flour, coating evenly. Set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook chicken for 4-5 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, sauté chopped onions and minced garlic until fragrant and translucent. Pour in chicken broth, scraping up browned bits. Simmer for a few minutes.
- Stir in heavy cream, onion powder, garlic powder, and additional seasonings. Simmer until gravy thickens.
- Return chicken to skillet, spoon gravy over it, reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and serve with mashed potatoes, rice, or vegetables. Add hot sauce or cayenne for extra spice if desired.
Notes
- For crispier chicken, fry until golden brown before simmering in gravy.
- You can prepare the dish ahead and reheat gently on the stove or microwave.
- Adjust spice levels by adding hot sauce or cayenne pepper during cooking.
