  • 1 packet instant yeast (2 ¼ tsp)
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup warm water (110°F)
  • 1 cup pizza sauce
  • 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup sliced pepperoni
  • ¼ cup sliced jalapeños (fresh or pickled)
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Olive oil for greasing

Instructions

  1. Combine flour, instant yeast, sugar, salt, and warm water in a large mixing bowl. Knead until smooth, cover, and let rise for about an hour.
  2. Punch down the risen dough, transfer to a floured surface, and roll out until approximately 12 inches in diameter.
  3. Place rolled-out dough onto a greased pizza pan and spread a generous layer of pizza sauce over the base.
  4. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese over the sauce, add pepperoni and jalapeños, and optional crushed red pepper or hot sauce.
  5. Preheat oven to 475°F (245°C) and bake the pizza for 15-20 minutes until the crust is golden brown and cheese is bubbling.
