Ingredients
Scale
- 1 package refrigerated crescent roll dough
- Assorted cheese slices (cheddar, pepper jack, or Swiss)
- Sliced olives or black olives (for the hats)
- Small spicy sausages or hot dogs (optional, for the inside)
- Egg wash (1 egg beaten with a splash of water)
- Optional decorations: sprinkles or edible glitter for extra spookiness
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Unroll the crescent roll dough and cut each triangle into two. Place a slice of cheese and an optional small sausage or hot dog inside each triangle. Roll up the dough to form a cone shape, resembling a witch hat.
- Gently bend the tip of each cone downward to resemble a hat, and add a sliced olive at the tip to mimic the brim. Secure with a little egg wash if needed.
- Brush the tops of the crescent rolls with the beaten egg to give them a shiny, golden finish. Decorate with sprinkles or edible glitter for extra festivity if desired.
- Bake on the prepared baking sheet for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from oven and allow to cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Use different cheese varieties to customize flavor profiles.
- For a spicier twist, add hot sauce inside the sausage or cheese.
- Decorate with edible glitter or colored sugars to enhance the spooky appearance.
- These rolls are best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days.
