Ingredients
Scale
- 3 cups fresh peaches, peeled and sliced
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- ½ cup rolled oats
- ½ cup brown sugar
- ½ cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
- ½ teaspoon cinnamon
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). In a bowl, combine sliced peaches, ½ cup sugar, cornstarch, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Toss gently and set aside.
- In another bowl, mix flour, oats, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Add cold butter cubes and blend until coarse crumbs form.
- Press two-thirds of the crumble mixture evenly into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish. Spread the prepared peaches over the crust, then sprinkle the remaining crumble on top.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes until golden brown and bubbly. Let cool slightly before cutting into squares. Serve with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for extra indulgence.
Notes
- Make sure to use ripe peaches for the best flavor and sweetness.
- For a crunchier topping, add chopped nuts or coconut flakes to the crumble mixture.
- To keep the bars fresh, store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days or refrigerated for up to a week.
