Ingredients
Scale
- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Optional: 1/2 cup chopped nuts or chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease your loaf pan.
- In a large bowl, mash the ripe bananas thoroughly. Add melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract, then whisk until smooth and combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture, folding gently until just combined.
- Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan. Optionally, add chopped nuts or chocolate chips on top or in the batter.
- Bake for 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow to cool slightly before removing from the pan and slicing.
Notes
- Use very ripe bananas for maximum sweetness and moisture.
- Replace some butter with Greek yogurt for added tenderness.
- Do not overmix to keep the bread moist and fluffy.
- Wrap leftovers tightly and store at room temperature for up to 2 days or freeze for longer storage.
