- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
- 2-3 tbsp milk or apple cider
Instructions
- Combine Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- Mix Wet Ingredients: In a separate bowl, combine the apple cider, sugar, melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract.
- Combine Wet and Dry: Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Add Apples: Gently fold in the diced apples.
- Heat the Oil: Heat vegetable oil in a deep pot to 350°F (175°C).
- Drop the Batter: Carefully drop rounded tablespoons of batter into the hot oil.
- Fry to Golden Brown: Fry for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown.
- Drain Excess Oil: Remove fritters with a slotted spoon and drain on a wire rack.
- Combine Glaze Ingredients: Whisk together powdered sugar and apple cider vinegar.
- Adjust Glaze Consistency: Add milk or cider to achieve desired consistency.
- Dip or Drizzle Glaze: Coat fritters in glaze and set on a wire rack to let glaze set.
