Ingredients
Scale
- 24 mini cocktail smokies (or cocktail sausages)
- 12 slices bacon, cut in half crosswise
- 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Wrap each smokie with half a bacon slice, securing with a toothpick if needed.
- Arrange wrapped smokies on the baking sheet in a single layer.
- Brush or drizzle all smokies generously with maple syrup.
- Bake for 15–18 minutes, flipping halfway through, until bacon is crispy and internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Transfer to a serving platter, drizzle with extra syrup if desired, and sprinkle with chopped fresh thyme.
Notes
- For extra flavor: add a pinch of crushed red pepper flakes or smoked paprika to the maple syrup before glazing.
- Make ahead: Assemble raw bacon-wrapped smokies and refrigerate up to 2 hours before baking.
- Leftovers keep well refrigerated for 2–3 days; reheat in air fryer or oven to restore crispness.
