- 1 pound ground beef or turkey
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onions
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup grape jelly
- 1 cup BBQ sauce
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the ground meat, breadcrumbs, chopped onions, egg, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.
- Roll small portions into meatballs, about 1 to 1.5 inches in diameter, and place them on a baking sheet.
- In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the grape jelly and BBQ sauce. Stir until well blended.
- Place the meatballs in the saucepan, gently stir to coat, cover, and let it simmer on low heat for about 30 minutes.
Notes
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- Freezing is an option for up to 2 months; thaw overnight and reheat in a pan.
- These meatballs can be served as appetizers or paired with rice or mashed potatoes.
