Ingredients
Scale
- 4 fillets of white fish (such as cod, tilapia, or haddock)
- 2 lemons (one for juice, one sliced for garnish)
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional for extra spice)
- Fresh parsley, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Cherry tomatoes and kalamata olives for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, oregano, paprika, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. Place the fish fillets in a baking dish and coat them evenly with the marinade. Let sit for 10-15 minutes.
- Arrange the marinated fish in a baking dish, garnishing with lemon slices, cherry tomatoes, olives, and chopped parsley.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork. Adjust baking time based on fillet thickness.
- Serve hot with a side of salad, pasta, or roasted vegetables. Garnish with additional herbs or lemon if desired.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, try using salmon or sea bass instead of white fish.
- Adding sun-dried tomatoes into the marinade enhances the Mediterranean taste.
- Crumble feta cheese on top before baking for a creamy finish.
